About Diane

Working with people is a real privilege. Hearing that people feel better, overcome or come to terms with their issues or problems and make changes to them selves takes courage and commitment. I’m always touched to hear how people learn to look after themselves.
I thought I would let the people I have previously helped in therapy speak for me.

I can't recommend Diane enough. She is honest, patient and was a very grounding presence at a very difficult time in my life. We discussed family issues, in particular those with my parents, and she helped me find the strength to build my own boundaries not just with my parents but with my partner and friends. Diane really took the time to get to know me and it felt like she really cared about what I was going through. I'm very thankful for all of her help and was hands down the best thing to happen to me in 2020 - even my partner comments on how much better off I am. Thank you very much Diane. I honestly don't think I'd come as far without you as my counsellor.

Diane made me feel at ease straight away, I went to my first session nervous and apprehensive. I honestly thought I had no reason to go there and problems I was having weren't that important and should be able to cope with on my own. I can honestly say making the decision to start therapy was the best thing I've done. Diane helped me realise that what I was going through was normal and it was ok to ask for help, her office was homely and inviting, not clinical like I was expecting. The tools I've gained will help with day to day issues, as well as the big issues I need to process. Having the knowledge of how the brain works and how to change my thinking so it can work properly, has made processing any obstacles that come up easier. During my sessions with Diane, I've gained confidence to do things I never would have, I've learned to love myself, know my worth, and what I deserve in life. It was like talking to a friend, I cried at times, but also laughed, I felt at home, and without therapy I don't know where I would be.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

My journey to becoming a therapist started with a search for my own potential. After completing the introduction to counselling I became hooked into the process of being interested in my own self.  After working on myself my potential to help others become more my focus.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

Being an integrative therapist had broadened my skill set to help many different problems we can face throughout our lives. Having different tools gives me more ways to help people.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

If you always do what you always do! You always get what you always got! Make a change today. As a therapist, I have developed my skills to help many different issues that people struggle with. I work creatively adapting my training to make therapy an individual experience. I use many different tools to help you relay your experiences or feelings, like:- metaphors, shells & stones, or listen to you, and many more. I offer short term or long term therapy working from a designated therapy room from home
