About Angie

As you have arrived at this page, I imagine you are looking for some help – either for yourself or someone you know?
Do you struggle with anxiety, depression or suffer from low self-esteem? Are you having issues with your relationships or with your family? Are you trying to process a loss? Or are you simply looking for ways to improve your life?
Sometimes it’s not easy to ask for help when we need it.
Seeing a therapist can be a scary idea but I know that seeing one helped me through some difficult times. I believe that everyone has the potential to live life fully and make positive changes.
Counselling and psychotherapy offer a safe space for you to speak about your concerns, difficulties and disappointments without being judged or criticised.
Whatever your presenting issues, concerns or goals may be, I would like to reassure you that you will always be accepted and be treated as a unique individual.
My job is to listen thoughtfully and to co-create a space with you for understanding and healing.
I would stay alongside you in the work. Through exploration and reflection together, we make sense of what might be causing the issue and negotiate you towards a greater sense of clarity and the possibility of change.
I have worked extensively in counselling and psychotherapy with adults, couples and young people in NHS and in my private practice through online session or face-to face session in central London. I see clients with different ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious and cultural background and I have experience of working with a wide range of issues include:
Addictions
Anxiety, Depression and Other Mood Difficulties
Career and Work Related Issues
Low Self-Confidence and Low Self-Esteem
Relationship Issues
Self-Harm, Suicidal Thoughts and Eating Disorders
Sexuality and Identity Crisis
Trauma including sexual, physical and emotional abuses
Enhancing communication within the couple
Restoring emotional intimacy and relationship satisfaction
Assisting with sex, sexuality and intimacy
Infidelity in the relationship

I offer sessions in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Besides counselling and psychotherapy, I also offer IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) in central London. IEMT deals with problematic feelings and memories and offers change.

My practice is within easy reach of central London in multiple locations such as Notting Hill, Westminster/Embankment, Bank and Sloane Square. I also offer secure online sessions to clients.

If you're looking for an experienced, professional and sensitive counsellor or therapist, someone you can put your trust in and know your thoughts and feelings will be received and considered respectfully and without judgement, then I could be the right one for you.

I understand just how difficult it is to ask for help at times like this. I hope you take this first step to accept some support. If you have any further questions or concerns about counselling or psychotherapy, I am happy to talk things over with you without obligation. Please send an email, leave a message on my website, or contact me on my 07800 918 587. I promise to come back to you as soon as I can.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I see myself as a wounded healer who have my own struggles and challenges in life too. My life is not perfect and that allows me to be able to relate to my clients and to support them on their own journey. It is a privilege to be on a self-discovery journey with my clients and to witness the transformation in them.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

I am an integrative transpersonal psychosynthesis practitioner who uses a holistic approach to healing, growth and transformation. Transpersonal counselling incorporates body, mind and spirit in the process. The model I use draws on the principles of psychodynamics, person-centred approach, cognitive behavioural therapy, gestalt, mindfulness and meditation. Different tools and experiential exercises such as drawing, guided meditation and inner dialogue are used to help you to broaden your awareness about yourself and the world around you, and to get in touch with your inner strengths and wisdom so that you can make a positive change in your life.

What are your Top 3 professional achievements so far?

I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip) awarded by the Psychosynthesis Trust in London and the University of Middlesex, and accredited by both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I hold a Certificate in working with Couples and Other Relationships awarded by The Grove Practice which is taught at the equivalent of Level 6: as a post-qualification training. I am also an Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) Certified Practitioner.
