Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I chose to become a counsellor as I issues I wanted to overcome and understand gaining self-awareness of self, when I was on my training I felt heard and valued as a person for the first time in my life and in that moment I knew I wanted to give that back to people, empowering them to make the changes they desired and to unlock their full potential.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

I truly believe that not one stand approach can give the client the best therapy they can, not one therapy fits all needs. this was the main reason I trained in an integrative way, I believe every approach has it's place within therapy can help clients but an integrative approach is more flexible.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

the beginning of my sessions are about getting to know what the clients goals and desires are from therapy. We explore the contract between client and counsellor. The beginning of sessions are very client led. Each session is tailored to the needs of the clients. I am an integrative, so many approaches can be utilised within our sessions.

What are your Top 3 professional achievements so far?

During the pandemic I have worked within the NHS providing counselling to NHS staff which I feel extremely proud of and privileged. Helping a client work through a phobia within a short space of time with little resources due to matter's outside of clients and my hands.
