After my son died I discovered that in my area counsellors for children or adults with autism were non existent. As a family we were struggling and so later that year I took a basic course in counselling skills to help myself and my family. I quickly realised how much I loved counselling and I carried on training to qualify. I absolutely love my job now helping others to find a resolution or peace brings me happiness and contentment. I truly believe there is no better profession.
Integrative therapy adapts to suit the individual. I believe it is the most effective, as therapists we can draw on many different approaches and tools to tailor the therapy just for you.
My approach is integrative. I assess everybody individually and create sessions to suit them. I listen and really hear you, with a on judgemental approach. And together we make a positive change for you.
Achieving my degree while working full time. Helping my autistic children to achieve much more than they were predicted too. And after a life full of challenges and struggles I am now content and fulfilled.
