I am an integrative BACP registered counsellor working from home. I offer online counselling sessions tailored to meet you where you are. My practice is guided by the belief that you are the expert of your own life and that by offering a reflective, genuine and caring environment you will be best positioned for challenges ahead and to fully engage with the world. Integrative counselling can give you the opportunity to set new goals and move towards them at your own pace or to process a traumatic event or circumstances that stand in your way.
I'm aware that finding a therapist who is a good match sometimes takes time, so I offer the first session free of charge which is an opportunity for both of us to find out if we are a good fit. Sliding scale prices can be provided, subject to availability.
I nurture a genuine and non judgemental approach where appreciation of client’s cultural context plays an integral part. When appropriate the sessions are encouraged to be used creatively: with storytelling, photography, music and dreams.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

From my early days I wanted to understand how we can cope with loss and adversity that we face. As a counselling trainee and a client I have come to realise that in order for a therapeutic change to take place one needs to feel understood, accepted in the most difficult of circumstances and genuinely cared for. I have found this experience truly inspiring. This prompted me to take my counselling studies further and embark on a career where I am able to share the knowledge and witness this remarkable change in others.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

Integrative counselling brings together different therapeutic approaches and provides a tailored client specific interpersonal space. You are encouraged to set your own goals and meet them at your own pace.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

In my practice I take the time to listen closely to your needs and tailor our sessions to meet you where you currently are. Through our work together we will move towards greater understanding of your past and its impact on your life today, this depth of work allows for greater self acceptance and more control over the decisions you make in your life. Our sessions will be spent working to increase your self awareness while strengthening your capacity to fully engage with the world. Together we will expand your resilience also by unpacking the feelings and thoughts that bring you discomfort, leading to a more authentic and transparent experience of yourself.

What are your Top 3 professional achievements so far?

Finishing my Masters Degree. Successfully supporting my client base during volunteering at Mind. Starting my private practice.
