From my early days I wanted to understand how we can cope with loss and adversity that we face. As a counselling trainee and a client I have come to realise that in order for a therapeutic change to take place one needs to feel understood, accepted in the most difficult of circumstances and genuinely cared for. I have found this experience truly inspiring. This prompted me to take my counselling studies further and embark on a career where I am able to share the knowledge and witness this remarkable change in others.
Integrative counselling brings together different therapeutic approaches and provides a tailored client specific interpersonal space. You are encouraged to set your own goals and meet them at your own pace.
In my practice I take the time to listen closely to your needs and tailor our sessions to meet you where you currently are. Through our work together we will move towards greater understanding of your past and its impact on your life today, this depth of work allows for greater self acceptance and more control over the decisions you make in your life. Our sessions will be spent working to increase your self awareness while strengthening your capacity to fully engage with the world. Together we will expand your resilience also by unpacking the feelings and thoughts that bring you discomfort, leading to a more authentic and transparent experience of yourself.
