Why did you choose to become a therapist?

During my career in logistics I had multiple individuals in my team who over the years presented with mental health issues. One who was talking about suicide, I sought advice from the HR team and didn't agree with their suggestion. I felt I would push the individual over the edge. I too a different approach that helped them. That night I saw an advert for a 10 week introduction to counselling course and signed up. I learnt a lot but also learnt that there was so much more to know and I needed to understand more. I then signed up to do a counselling skills certificate course which then led on to me completing my diploma and becoming a qualified counsellor.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

Everybody is different and I don' t believe one size fits all different individuals need different things at different points in their therapy. That's why I flex between styles in my sessions working in a way that suits my client best at the time.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

My therapy sessions are a calm safe place for you to explore your feelings and emotions, I flex my style to adjust to the individual in front of me and their needs and provide the support they need to overcome, resolve, manage or accept the situation enabling them to move forward.
