One of the reasons I decide to enter the field of counseling is because I have a strong desire to help others. I feel my journey of self-discovery has been life changing and I feel I want others to experience that chance too.
Integrative therapy generally follows the belief that, because every single one of us is unique, there is no single approach that holds all the answers to all our problems. Therefore as a integrative counsellor I will use various evidence-based techniques and theories that are appropriate to help client’s to begin to solve and understand their issues.
I believe every person has the answers they need within themselves and that given the right conditions we can all tap into our true potential. My approach to counselling is to create a warm, safe environment in which the person feels empowered to find their own solutions. Applying the skills and tools I have learnt from my training and own life experiences, I have found that often the most powerful tool is simply for a person to feel heard, accepted and valued. What we discuss in the sessions is down to you. They are your sessions and I will work at a pace that suits you.
