Sometimes you may feel like you have lost your voice and who you are; you may feel deeply affected by life events such as a separation , a traumatic event, the loss of someone close to you or the loss of something important to you. You wish to get yourself unstuck but you find that dealing with those emotions and day to day life is too difficult, maybe because events in your past that you do not want to impact your future, are affecting your present.
I offer a space where you can pause, reflect and be truly heard. I am sensitive to the needs of each individual and offer compassion, safety and no judgement; so that you can be free to express yourself without fear.
I am passionate about supporting people to overcome the challenges life throws at them.
I have been on the journey myself, going from not being confident and being stuck, to finding who I am and my purpose.
I have had many roles in my life and in all of them, I have been able to support people on their journey to overcome their difficulties.
I have had a particular interest in helping women to overcome their challenges and discover their potentials.
After several years supporting people in the charity sector, I felt that I wanted to offer a different support to people, helping them to understand their story better so that they could build a better future.
Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?
I believe that therapy is personal, and that one model might not fit everyone or respond to our needs at all times.
Integrative therapy allows the flexibility to adapt to the moment and to people's needs a specific time. Sometimes we need to talk, sometimes we need to be asked questions, other times words might not be enough and creative therapy can sometimes help people express themselves when they feel stuck.
How would you describe your therapy session & approach?
My approach integrates different styles of therapy. Together, we can explore what will be most useful for your journey towards healing.
I draw on differents counselling approaches, including person centred, CBT, creative therapy and Christian counselling among others, to assist my clients.
I am a native French speaker and can also offer counselling in French.
The first session is a time to get to know each other; to see if we are going to be a "good fit".
At the beginning of the session, we will review the counselling agreement together and I will clarify any enquiries you may have. I may then ask you to complete a short form about yourself, if that has not be done already via email before the session.
The rest of the session will give me an oppurtunity to hear from you- what brought you to counselling and how you feel it might help you. I will also spend a bit of time enquiring about your situation, in order for me to get a better understanding of you.
What are your Top 3 professional achievements so far?
Starting my private practice has been one of my major professional achievements. After I finished my training, it was important that my works allows me to balance personal and professional life.
As a professional, I have been able to participate in webinars, sharing lessons I have learnt and raising awareness about subject important to me such as the use of the first language in therapy and supporting people through trauma.
On a lighter note, I am proud to have build my website by myself and to be able to show who I am through the different pages on it.
