About Tracy

Seeing a therapist for our mental health should be as normal as seeing a doctor for our physical health, the two are equally as important to our wellbeing. As we would need time to recover from a broken leg, we also need time to recover from emotional pain and trauma, sadness and grief, loss and uncertainty and sometimes we need help to do it and this is normal as well. Therapy offers us the opportunity to explore the difficulties we're facing and helps us move through the process to find new perspectives, reduce emotional distress, and find strength and resilience to overcome our life's challenges. I set up my practice in 2009 to support clients to do just this and have seen many clients leave feeling empowered and smiling.

Get to Know Tracy

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I've always had a passion for supporting others and found that people always seemed comfortable in sharing their difficulties with me quite quickly. I felt I could put this to good use and in doing so, found that it gave me a profound sense of wellbeing in myself. It's given me purpose.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

Integrating different therapeutic approaches is beneficial to clients with complex issues as it supports you to manage your situation with immediate solutions whilst offering the time to explore those deeper-rooted difficulties that may prevent you from progressing fully. The more therapeutic tools on offer, the better the chance of a successful outcome.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

I offer a tailored, person-centred approach to clients' presenting issues using a range of tools to support clients in a way that fits for you. Sometimes talking through experiences is enough, sometimes more structured strategy based therapy is required. An integration of the two is common.
