Get to Know Yvette

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I became a therapist because I had struggled with overthinking and childhood trauma. I was told by people that I had helped before my training that I was empathic and good listener. Being through so many issues myself gave me a good insight on how to correct negative belief systems. I felt it was my vocation to help people be the best version of themselves.

Why do you think integrative therapy is the most effective form of therapy?

My aim is to give each client a bespoke service. I integrate different modalities in a way that fits you individually. We are all unique and we have a greater understanding of the way the mind and emotions works through neuroscience. Everyone client learns tools and Psychoeducation so they are equipped post therapy.

How would you describe your therapy session & approach?

I know how difficult it is to face your emotions so I work in a person centred way integrating transformational tools such as CBT, EFT, NLP, SFT, TA, Mindfulness, Meditation and Inner child work. I've also been coaching for 11 years.

What are your Top 3 professional achievements so far?

I worked in a Financial and banking background for many years before I changed my Life path. I have had many difficulties in life such as divorce, trauma and bereavement and I have learnt unique ways through mindfulness and study to empower myself to be the best I can be. I have been in private practice since 2010 and own two businesses, one being a Health and Wellbeing events business. I am passionate about helping people through my shows and help the local community along the way. I aim to help clients facilitate a unique plan so that they can reach their full potential. I have counselled for Southend Councils Early Help Family support unit and for Local Charities.
