    Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a nutrition coach and a registered nutritionist?

A registered nutritionist holds AfN registration and can work at a higher level of nutritional science. A nutrition coach focuses on food behaviour for the general population. Neither treats a diagnosed condition, that is the dietitian's remit under HCPC.

Can a nutrition coach write meal plans?

General healthy eating guidance for healthy adults is in scope. Therapeutic diets for a diagnosed condition are not, and must be referred to a registered dietitian.
