    FAQs

Is my anxiety serious enough to see someone?

If it has lasted more than a few weeks, is affecting sleep, work or relationships, or is stopping you doing things you value, it is worth speaking to a specialist. Our free GAD-7 screening helps you calibrate.

CBT, EMDR or medication - which do I need?

It depends on what's driving your anxiety. CBT is NICE first-line for generalised anxiety, EMDR for trauma-rooted anxiety, medication when symptoms are severe. Most clinicians offer a free intro call to help you decide.

How quickly can I be seen privately?

Most Take a Seat anxiety specialists offer a first session within one to two weeks - significantly faster than typical NHS talking-therapy waits.
