I embarked on my counselling training as I have always had an interest in psychology. As my training progressed I realised that counselling is something that people do to fix something that has gone wrong. Through my own practice I would like to encourage people to use therapy as a preventative tool.
I am an integrative counsellor which means that I am trained in several theories of counselling. I aim to challenge you to explore your issues to gain the most from your therapy; having access to so many techniques, strategies and models of counselling means I can tailor your counselling to meet your individual needs.
Therapy sessions are led by you, you choose what you bring to each session and how far you want to explore. I may encourage you with gentle challenge to view some of your insights from a different perspective. My approach is to empower you to see that the answers are already within you but sometimes we need some faciliation to make sense of those answers.
